  1. It’s great to see some new rotator cuff exercises.  Most of the time you just hear about internal and external rotation exercises (which I believe in and do in a big way) but I like seeing some new angles to work them.  My shoulders are so tight that this exercise works my shoulders with no weight when I’m not even prone.

  2. I had surgeries for chronic dislocations (both shoulders) fifty years ago, and it never really hampered my paddling. Two weeks ago I bounced off a shallow reef in the water and was in serious pain the next day–had X-Rays and an MRI done and my sports medicine ortho told me I had a torn rotator cuff. The problem is, I’m no longer a young kid, even though I’d been surfing regularly and playing tennis a couple of times a week. As a 71-year old, will I be able to recover from rotator cuff surgery, or are my surfing days finally over after sixty years of doing what I still love?
