I absolutely love the pop up program. Cris’ instructional videos helped me realise and solve a problem with my ankle. Not only has this helped my pop up but also helped my turns as I now have full range of motion with that ankle again. I can’t thank him enough!

They way Chris breaks down the pop-up technique is easily the best instruction I’ve seen – and I’ve watched a tonne of you tube’s on this. His is a different, and I think much better, way of working on the pop up. After only 3 weeks working on the technique I can feel the improvement in the water and am getting more wave time by sticking more pop-ups.

Thanks for your help! As an athlete, I have learned how to make minor adjustments to my technique and routines that lead to huge improvements in my performance. Because surfing was always something I did on the side, I never invested time in learning some of these fundamental techniques. I always just kind of felt my way through things, well that hasn’t worked as well with surfing. This module has given me the head knowledge I needed to make huge improvements in my pop up. While I still have a ways to go to reach my goals, I am confident in this part of the puzzle. Thanks again!

Just started the pop up program, loved the assessment part its helping get right to the areas that are the most in need of attention. I’am seventy and ruptured a disk two years ago with causes flexibility issues.My daily go to board is a 5 ft fish & the results from the program are making that much more fun & allowing me to use it in more critical waves

Big fan of this program, particularly the focus on mobility. The mobility evaluations were especially helpful. I was able to establish that it was really my hips that were my limiting factor rather than my hamstrings and calves. Digging in on the hips has improved range of movement quickly. I should also add that the strength training is very effectively targeted toward improving pop ups.

Cris has put together a series of programs that are not only enhancing my surfing , but my overall health and wellbeing. Whether you’re starting off out of shape, or in reasonable condition like myself, the program will develop your motor skills and desire to get fluid. I use many of the exercises as general everyday stretches to start the day well. Worth the investment!

This program is so good. I felt my hips and back held my pop up back. I felt too stiff and slow and didn’t really know where to begin to sort it out. This program was spot on. I used it for a month before my latest surf trip to Portugal and really felt the difference. Everything worked smoother and I had better confidence ,was more calm and caught more waves! I’ve been surfing for over 30 years but had some ankle problems and this was affecting my pop-up. I had a loss in stability and was causing me to more often lose balance on steeper waves. After using the pop-up program I identified other areas of muscle tightness and area that just needed more TLC. Now I’m making more take offs. My ankle is not causing any problems and I am now focussed on the overall health of my body for surfing. Now to work on my shoulders!!!

I’m at that dreaded beginner-intermediate level of surfing where I am trying to transition to a shorter board and get into better green waves – and I was struggling with getting a quick pop up. I’ve surfed for 3 decades and have been in sport and training for just as long. I’ve seen lots of coaches, lots of trainers, and lots of methods over the years.
